The Ministry is migrating nzmaths content to Tāhurangi.
Relevant and up-to-date teaching resources are being moved to Tāhūrangi (tahurangi.education.govt.nz).
When all identified resources have been successfully moved, this website will close. We expect this to be in June 2024.
e-ako maths, e-ako Pāngarau, and e-ako PLD 360 will continue to be available.

Make a spinner and test it.

Foul food picture.

The Spinner learning object allows users to make a spinner with 2-10 equal sized segments, coloured in any combination of the six primary and secondary colours.

Once they have made their spinner, the user can test it by either spinning it once at a time, or by carrying out multiple trials.

The learning object displays the results in both table and graph form, allowing an easy comparison of the numbers or percentages spun for each colour. This provides a valuable context for exploring experimental probability.
