Year 9: Properties, representations, and measurement of 3D shapes

The Ministry is migrating nzmaths content to Tāhurangi.           
Relevant and up-to-date teaching resources are being moved to Tāhūrangi (tahurangi.education.govt.nz). 
When all identified resources have been successfully moved, this website will close. We expect this to be in June 2024. 
e-ako maths, e-ako Pāngarau, and e-ako PLD 360 will continue to be available.

In TIMSS students are expected to recognise and apply the properties of 3D shapes, such as the constant cross-section of prisms, to solve problems. Students also  need to represent 3D shapes using 2D drawings, or establish the correctness of a given representation. Measurements required include volume, and surface area.
