Purpose:

  • To develop your child’s understanding of multiplication, division and remainders.
  • This game is suitable for 2 or more players who have a good knowledge of basic facts in multiplication and division.

How to play:

  • Each player throws the 3 dice and creates a number fact sentence to complete one row on their game board. For example if a 4, 5 and 6 are thrown the player needs to think of an equation to complete their row and find the missing number in the diamond. The equation that uses the above numbers could be

? divided by 6 equals 5 with a remainder of 4.

? ÷ 6 = 5 r.4 so the missing number must be 34 as 6 x 5 is 30 plus 4 equals 34.
