This week we focus on multiplication and division basic facts, and on learning about ratios.

This page suggests activities for each day. Click to download a printable PDF to help keep track of progress.


Day 1

Number facts e-ako

  • Go to the number facts pathway in e-ako maths.
  • Choose the multiplication and division learning tool.
  • Click “Check all facts” and answer the questions. The green ticks show the facts you know.

Multiplicative thinking e-ako

  • Go to the multiplicative thinking pathway in e-ako maths.
  • Choose e-ako R4.10 (the seventh blue button on the third row).
  • Work through pages 1-13.

Day 2

Number facts e-ako

  • If you have facts to learn, spend some time learning them.
  • Go to the number facts pathway in e-ako maths and play the “Number Facts” game “All Numbers” a few times.
  • If you have no facts to learn, go to the number facts pathway in e-ako maths.
  • Play the "Hundredths Frame" game “Making 1” a few times.

Multiplicative thinking e-ako

  • Go back to e-ako R4.10 on the multiplicative thinking pathway in e-ako maths.
  • Work through pages 14-23.

Number activity

  • Go to the activity Flavoursome and follow the instructions.
  • Check your answers at the bottom of this page.

Day 3

Number facts e-ako

  • If you have facts to learn, spend some time learning them.
  • Ask a family member to test you. What facts have you learned so far?
  • If you have no facts to learn, go to the number facts pathway in e-ako maths.
  • Try to beat your score on the "Hundredths Frame" game “Making 1”.

Multiplicative thinking e-ako

  • Go to the multiplicative thinking pathway in e-ako maths.
  • Choose e-ako R4.20 (the eighth blue button on the third row).
  • Work through pages 1-11.

Day 4

Number facts e-ako

  • If you have facts to learn, spend some time learning them.
  • Ask a family member to test you. What facts have you learned so far?
  • If you have no facts to learn, go to the number facts pathway in e-ako maths.
  • Play the "Fraction Pairs" game  “Fractions to make 1”, “Fractions to make 2”, or “Improper Fractions to make 2” a few times.

Multiplicative thinking e-ako

  • Go back to e-ako R4.20 on the multiplicative thinking pathway in e-ako maths.
  • Work through pages 12-20.

Day 5

Number facts e-ako

  • If you have facts to learn, go back to the multiplication and division learning tool and “Check all facts” again. Hopefully you’ve got more green ticks now. 
  • Return to the number facts pathway and try to beat your score on the “Number Facts” game.
  • If you have no facts to learn, go to the number facts pathway in e-ako maths.
  • Play the "Fraction Pairs" game  “Fractions to make 1”, “Fractions to make 2”, or “Improper Fractions to make 2” a few times.

Multiplicative thinking e-ako

  • Go to the multiplicative thinking pathway in e-ako maths.
  • Choose e-ako R4.30 (the ninth blue button on the third row).
  • Work through as much of the e-ako as you can.

Number activity

  • Go to the activity In proportion and see how many of the problems you can solve.
  • Check your answers at the bottom of this page.
