Purpose

This activity is for students to use when working independently of the teacher in class and as homework to practice number properties.

Achievement Objectives
NA3-1: Use a range of additive and simple multiplicative strategies with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages.
Specific Learning Outcomes
  • Solve addition and subtraction using mental strategies.
  • Explain how a mental strategy works using an example.

Addition and subtraction, as appropriate to the learning of the group.

This activity produces a wall display involving revision of addition and subtraction strategies.
