- Tape measure or ruler
- Pen and paper
What to do:
Check that your child knows how to use a tape measure.
Check your child understands there are 100 centimetres in a metre.
Help your child to make a list of objects to measure around your home.
Help your child to use the tape measure to find the heights or lengths of the objects around your home.
Explain you will measure things in metres and round it to the nearest centimetre.
Measure the objects and record the measurement to the nearest centimetre.
