3: Counting From One by Imaging - Proportions and Ratios

Teacher: What were you doing when you were counting?
Student: I was making 2 groups in my head.

The Counting from One by Imaging stage is characterised by students counting all of the objects. Students at this stage are able to image visual patterns of the objects in their mind and count them.
