Clockwork

Purpose

In this activity students practise their forwards and backwards counting.

use mathematical language such as before, after, later, earlier, and between.

Required Resource Materials
A clock with on- the- hour times with movable hands.
Activity
  1. Show the students the clock face set at 7 o clock.
    What time does the clock show?
    What time was it 2 hours ago?
    What time will it be in 3 hours?
  2. Ask students to explain how they worked out the times.
  3. Repeat with different starting times.
