Finding Symmetry

Students determine whether shapes have one, two or three lines of symmetry by using a digital tool that allows shapes to be folded in different ways.

Teacher notes

  • Students explore an environment to find a variety of 2D shapes with lines of symmetry.
  • Students use a testing wand to fold the shapes into matching halves to determine whether the shapes have lines of symmetry.
  • Displays a summary of shapes found.
