Findings From the NZ Numeracy Development Projects 2007

The Ministry is migrating nzmaths content to Tāhurangi.
Relevant and up-to-date teaching resources are being moved to Tāhūrangi (tahurangi.education.govt.nz).
When all identified resources have been successfully moved, this website will close. We expect this to be in June 2024.
e-ako maths, e-ako Pāngarau, and e-ako PLD 360 will continue to be available.

Compendium cover. A compendium of research findings from the 2007 Numeracy Development Project has been compiled and is available from this page.  The nineteen papers in this compendium look at a variety of aspects of the NDP. They are roughly grouped under the categories of student achievement; professional practice; and evaluations.

Findings from the Secondary Numeracy Project (SNP) are also available.

A compendium of research findings for Te Poutama Tau is available on a separate page.

The full documents can be accessed by clicking on the images to the right.  To download individual chapters, use the links below.

These documents are provided in PDF format.  To view them you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer.  If you need to get Adobe Acrobat Reader or update your current version please go to the Adobe site.  The Adobe Acrobat Reader software is FREE.
