The Ministry is migrating nzmaths content to Tāhurangi.
Relevant and up-to-date teaching resources are being moved to Tāhūrangi (tahurangi.education.govt.nz).
When all identified resources have been successfully moved, this website will close. We expect this to be in June 2024.
e-ako maths, e-ako Pāngarau, and e-ako PLD 360 will continue to be available.

Internal assessment resources for level one

The final published versions of tasks for the internal Mathematics achievement standards 1.1, 1.4, 1.5 and 1.9 (A and B resources) are now live on TKI. The remaining tasks are still in draft form. The final step for these resources is a quality assurance (QA) check. This is to ensure that any changes in wording to the standards made during the QA process for registration are reflected in the assessment resources. Until this happens, the assessment resources will remain on TKI as being in their ‘draft’ status. This final check is currently underway.

External assessment resources for level one

Material for each externally assessed Level 1 standard includes a sample assessment, an assessment schedule, and a set of annotated exemplars of student work that show performance at different grade levels. Go to www.nzqa.govt.nz/mathematics and click the link for sample external assessments.

Secondary Education portal on TKI

The Secondary Education portal is the “one-stop-shop” for all secondary teachers looking for current information, resources and guidance about curriculum and NCEA. It provides clear pathways to Ministry initiatives, including those that focus on improving outcomes for Māori students in English- medium schools. The portal provides pathways to all the stuff you will be looking for to align your teaching and learning programme to new Level 1 standards.
