I am having trouble with the Learning Objects (read more)
Some of the Learning Objects are hosted in the Digistore. Access to the Digistore is by way of your Education Sector (ESSA) Logon, as part of TKI's 'single sign on' system. Previous school-wide log in details to the Digistore no longer work. Each teacher should have their own ESSA log in details. These are the same as you use to log in to TKI or e-asTTle. The nzmaths helpdesk can not provide support with these usernames and passwords. For further details read the Accessing Digistore page on TKI.
For other problems with Learning Objects in the Digistore visit the Digistore help page on TKI.
I am having trouble logging in to the nzmaths site (read more)
Logging in to the nzmaths website allows you to create plans in the Planning Space or to access the Professional Learning Communities. It also provides teacher access to PLD 360 and e-ako maths. If you do not want to do any of these then you do not need to log in to the nzmaths site.
If you have forgotten your log in details, enter your email address or username in the box on the Request new password page and you will be sent a link which allows you to reset your password.
If your email address is no longer active, please email Andrew with your username and the password you would like on your account and he will be able to reset it for you. Note that if you do not know your username we are unable to look up your account.
I am having trouble logging in to e-ako maths (read more)
Teachers should access e-ako maths using their nzmaths username and password. If you have forgotten your nzmaths log in details, enter your email address or username in the box on the Request new nzmaths password page and you will be sent a link which allows you to reset your password. The first line of that email tells you your nzmaths username.
The first time you log in to e-ako maths using your nzmaths account you will be asked to either link an existing e-ako maths account or register a new one. You will only need to do this once. If you have forgotten your e-ako maths log in details, enter your email address or username in the box on the Forgotten e-ako password page and you will be sent a link which allows you to choose a new password.
I am having trouble with the Numeracy Database (read more)
Each school has one account in the Numeracy Database.
If nobody at your school remembers your password, enter your institution number on the login page, tick the box labelled "Forgotten password" and click "OK". This will send an email reminder of your password to the contact email address for your account. If this email address is no longer accessible, please email Andrew from your school email address and include your school's institution number to enable us to find your account. Note that we can not send passwords out to personal email addresses - only those that are clearly associated with the school.
If you are having trouble using the Numeracy Database, in the first instance please read the help file, and if this does not help please email Andrew with a detailed description of your problem.
If you are having trouble uploading a CSV file to the Numeracy Database, pleas ensure that you have read the CSV upload section of the help file, and in particular ensure that your file matches the template. Common errors include using unrecognised ethnicities, not including a DataEntry column, and not saving the spreadsheet as a CSV file.
I want to order Numeracy Project books or Figure It Out books (read more)
The nzmaths helpdesk is not responsible for distribution of either Numeracy Development Project books or Figure It Out books. Both of these resources are ordered through Down the Back of The Chair. For further information on ordering NDP books go to the Numeracy Projects section. For information on ordering FIO books go to the Figure It Out section.
Down the Back of the Chair can be contacted by email at orders@thechair.minedu.govt.nz or by phone on 0800 660 662.
I have found an error on the nzmaths site (read more)
If you have found an error or a link which does not work on the nzmaths website, please email Andrew with as much detail about the problem as possible.
Ensure that you include a detailed description of the problem, and the url (www.nzmaths.co.nz/...) of the page.
If you encountered an error message it would be helpful if you could include a screen shot of the error to help us diagnose the problem.
I have another comment or question (read more)
